Juvenile Diversion Program Coordinator – Bilingual English/Spanish (Written & Spoken)

Full Time – $16 – 18/hr
40 Hrs week, flexible schedule. Some evenings required.

We are seeking a Diversion Program Coordinator for a youth Restorative Justice (RJ) program in Clackamas County, working with first time juvenile offenders, in conjunction with local community accountability panels. Requires knowledge of community resources, adolescent development, family systems and substance abuse issues. Knowledge of Juvenile Justice System preferred.

Duties will include:

Contact youth/family referred by Clackamas County Juvenile Department (CCJD)
Complete Juvenile Crime Prevention Screen
Develop and monitor Diversion agreements
Make referrals to community resources as appropriate
Recruit, coordinate and maintain Panel and Community volunteers
Follow up with youth to ensure compliance of Diversion Agreement
Notify victim (if applicable) of outcome of Diversion Agreement
Maintain complete and accurate records as directed by supervisor and CCJD liaison

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or training in social and behavioral sciences/conflict resolution and six months experience in criminal/juvenile justice, restorative justice, social services or relevant field, OR high school or GED plus two years’ experience in criminal (preferably juvenile) justice, restorative justice, social services or relevant field
Ability to pass DHS background check and DMV driving history check
Valid OR driver’s license
Ability to lift 40 pounds

These duties are performed in an office, police departments and/or community facility settings.
